Born and raised in Waycross, Georgia, Sheri Bashlor has found she has more than one calling in life. As a 2001 graduate from Ware County High School, she began pursuing a career in education through Waycross College by first earning an Associate’s Degree in Science. Several years later, she graduated with both her Bachelors and Master’s from Valdosta State University with a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She eventually earned a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology through Kennesaw State University. With experience with multiple grade levels, subject areas, and school districts, Sheri is now entering her 15th year of teaching and continues to educate our children of Ware County at Wacona Elementary School. As a leader in this field, she has led professional development for teachers throughout the state of Georgia, all the way to Atlanta and back home. In 2017, she began volunteering as a puppy raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs by raising future guide and service dogs for those who are visually impaired and for veterans who have been diagnosed with PTSD. Sheri helped form the South Georgia Puppy Raisers group for SEGD and became the Area Coordinator for this part of the state, which covers multiple areas such as Waycross, St. Simons Island, St. Mary’s/Kingsland, Brunswick, and northern Florida. Feeling that now is a better time than any, Sheri has recently earned her license as a Real Estate Salesperson and is excited to share her passion for helping others in a new light by working for South + East Properties. Although this accomplishment is recent, she has always found real estate as a part of who she is. Sheri’s father, Wayne Bashlor, has been a self-employed land developer and subdivider, while serving Ware County and the surrounding areas, since 1976. He continues to run his land businesses as well as his own blueberry farm, alongside his wife of 50 years and Sheri’s mother, Glenda Bashlor. Sheri has worked alongside both her mom and dad flipping houses in ware county. She is thrilled to continue upholding the Bashlor name through the real estate profession and looks forward to serving our community as a teacher at Wacona Elementary School, puppy raiser and Area Coordinator for Southeastern Guide Dogs, and now real estate salesperson for South + East Properties.
