My wife and I were looking for ideas on property that we could consider for retirement that will hopefully be coming up in the next few years. Like many people, we were looking for something around a large lake or possible coastal property. We were familiar with lake property but neither of us had ever spent any time around coastal Georgia.
I had known Gerald for several years, so I decided to give him a call and see if he knew of any property in McIntosh County that he could show us that might be of interest. He invited us to meet him the following Saturday morning to show us around the county and look at some places that were available. He was kind enough to take us out on his boat and we traveled down the Sapelo River all the way over to the Julienton River and around Shellman Bluff. My wife, her two college aged children, and I, fell in love with coastal Georgia that spring morning on that boat ride down the river. It was the first time any of us had experienced the area from the water and it was absolutely beautiful. We were SOLD! All we needed to do was find the right place. Gerald showed us several places around the county and was very knowledgeable about the pros and cons of each area from Harris Neck to Darien. He didn’t try to influence our decision about any particular area but was very helpful in answering our questions and pointing out the advantages and disadvantages to each area. He was honest with us and that’s all I need from anyone I’m trying to do business with.
To make a long story shorter, we settled on a place in Pine Harbor and have been thrilled with the decision. Gerald’s help didn't stop there. The property we purchased had some repairs and changes that needed to be made and Gerald was extremely helpful in providing several names and phone numbers of local people and businesses that could provide the services we would need. I have even had to call him on a couple of occasions since our purchase to request more information about the area and he has always gone above and beyond the normal expectations to help us. And this was eight months AFTER the sell!!!
I can truthfully say that Gerald Sellers is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate one minute to refer anyone to him who is looking for property in coastal Georgia.
